Nicely built bike with alot of features found on higher priced bikes!
I bought this bike after owning a Marin Portofino. The Marin wasn't a bad bike, it was a good starter bike but this bike just feels so sturdy and is very light. The Marin had Shimano Sora Shifters and entry level components. It didn't have the aggressive geometry of the Cadillac it was more laid back. I love the Shimano 105 components on the Cadillac, shifts much smoother and doesn't drop the chain. I only paid 0 for this bike. People say to buy a bike from your local bike store. I tried different brands, Schwinn, Giant, Speciallized, Trek, Cannondale. I liked the Cannondales but couldn't touch one for under 0. All the other bikes felt so entry level. Giant was the close to the price point but had inferior components and was heavier. I'm not a brand person , too many people put down non mainstream bikes without ever riding them. I was more interested in the components and quality than name. This though doesn't mean the frame of the Cadillac is shabby. It's very light, responsive, yet feels very sturdy. I would definitely buy it again if given the chance. I do wish it came in different colors though.

Quality Road Bike at an Affordable Price
The picture does this bike no justice. It is really a very attractive bike with good quality components. I found the bike to be quite fast and responsive during testing. The only issue was that I received pedals and cleats for a mountain bike and so I had to get replacements. That however does not take away from the overall quality of the bike. This is a very good purchase for anyone looking for an excellent start in road biking without the initial high cost. If you can't keep up with the pack it is not because of the bike, as it is also very light at around 19+ pounds. Definitely a winner for me.

Excellent bike for the money
I have owned the Cadillac RLE 1.8 for about 15 months now. In that time I have ridden it for about 1400 miles. I was new to biking but at this year's Hotter n Hell Hundred in Wichita Falls, TX I was able complete the ride. The bike has performed flawlessly. I have had two flats and am still on the original tires (though not much longer as they are just about worn out). I have only dropped the chain off twice. The equivalent Trek, Giant or Specialized would cost you 00-00. Not being of the bicycling elite, I am sure a few components here or there could be better. However, it has introduced me to the sport and I am loving it. In fact, the bike has helped me loose 53lbs. I still want to loose about 30 more. That said, the bike held up to me (a large guy) just great. I highly recommend this bike to anyone wanting a quality road bike for the money spent. If you ride in Texas, look for me. I'll be on the red Cadillac wearing the blue Alaska jersey. Have fun riding.

Decent entry level bike.
I didn't want to spend a fortune to buy a road bike, and this bike, though its name draws some laughs, has pretty decent components for a bike in this price range. It's pretty easy to put the parts together, but I still decide to have a mechanic to check the assembly. The Shimano 105 is not the newest version, but for an entry level road bike it doesn't have to have the best components.
My prolem with this bike is its shipping. There is little foam or other material that prevents the bike from shaking around in the box, and I've noticed one or two visible paint falling and also the wheels are are dented.
Overall, it's a decent bike, but the shipping needs to be improved.

Great Bike
I just got my bike today and it was pretty easy to put together. I still took it to a bike shop so they could check everything and adjust what needed to be adjusted. The other day when I told them I bought a Cadillac bike, they laughed at me. Today, when I brought it in they thought it was a pretty nice bike and a great deal since I got it before Amazon raised the price to what it is now. I think it is a great bike. It is a comfortable ride and went easily up all of the hills I threw at it. This is the first time I have rode/owned a road bike I am very pleased. Shipping with Eagle was a little slow. I paid for the 3-5 day shipping and it came in 7 days. I would just use Amazons free shipping.
